Invisible

The little girl is awakened .
Her eyes struggle the focus.
She is afraid and alone.
She cries out but there are only silent screams
The only sounds she hears are of glass breaking, furniture overturned, bodies against the wall
Stop! Please! Stop!
She pleads but no one hears.
Too caught up in their own selfish anger
She is invisible
They don't see her tears
They don't hear her cries of pain
They don't comfort her or kiss away her fears
The awful sounds come in waves like a furious sea
The shouting like thunder roaring in her tiny ears
Stop! please stop!
The little girl tries to find the words that never come
They never notice
They don't see her, seeing them
She is invisible
The words have never come
She's still invisible
